Thanks to Prof. Shima's guidance, Dr. Suvania and I could visit the ex-industrial waste disposal site in Teshima island.

Ms. Shiokawa kindly explained the history of the villagers' struggle to protest against the illegal disposal. We were able to realize once again the significance of what happened here.
